Revere classifies companies into multiple, highly-specific categories based on the products and services they sell. These categories are organized into a product-based classification system of companies that contains up to nine times as many sectors as are commonly used on Wall Street. Known as the Revere Hierarchy, this framework provides unprecedented visibility into companies, the sectors in which they compete, and their major lines of business.

The Revere Hierarchy includes:

• Industry classification for approximately 6,200 companies based on 16,000 product levels
• Product-level detail for 3,700 companies in the most dynamic industries: technology, healthcare, media, and finance
• Detailed company mapping, including “Focused” lines of business and/or “Sector Pure Plays” (companies which generate all of their sales from one specific sector).

The Revere Hierarchy is the building block for Revere’s research and trading tools as well as Revere-branded indexes, ETFs, and options products. It can also be licensed as a datafeed for other applications, including clients’ proprietary ones.
