Revere International Sector Classification - RISC™ & RISC Focus™ ::
The Revere International Sector Classification, known as RISC™, is a comprehensive industry classification system that can identify clusters of related companies that are frequently overlooked by other classification systems.
Revere's international sector classification allows for an apples to apples comparison of 37,000 companies in 77 countries around the globe. Revere offers a choice in coverage level based on depth and breadth allowing users to select what is best for them.
RISC™ provides detailed, in-depth coverage of every industry sector in which the company competes. By mapping the sectors that generate core revenue and the ancillary sectors, RISC™ provides unprecedented visibility in the competitive landscape of approxiamately 12,250 global companies and helps assess true portfolio risk.
RISC Focus™ classifies more than 37,000 publicly traded companies on a sector-by-sector basis based on the revenue derived only from their primary line of business, or in other words, the company's focus. The mapping of these companies offers a level of precision of more than four times the breadth and depth of existing classification systems.
Both RISC™ products are directly linked to and based on the patented Revere Hierarchy™, our product-based classification system that maps companies against over 16,000 product and service categories. Together, the Revere Hierarchy™ and RISC™ provide in-depth and precise visibility into more than 1,350 industry sectors, almost ten times as many as are visible in conventional systems.
*RISC is updated daily. Companies and product levels are added and removed as the market changes, so figures can vary daily.
