(Kraft) through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the manufacture and sale of packaged food products, including snacks, beverages, cheese, convenient meals and various packaged grocery products. Kraft operates in two commercial units: Kraft North America and Kraft International. Kraft North America operates in the United States and Canada, and manages its operations principally by product category, while Kraft International Commercial manages its operations by geographic region. Kraft has operations in 70 countries and sells its products in more than 150 countries. On November 30, 2007, the Company acquired the global biscuit business of Groupe Danone S.A. During the year ended December 31, 2007, Altria Group, Inc. spun off its remaining interest (89%) in Kraft to Altria?s stockholders. In August 2008, the Company announced the closing of the merger of its Post cereals business into Ralcorp Holdings, Inc.
